BIO
Jo Bradshaw is an Everest summiteer, inspirational adventurer and leadership coach who raises funds for the UK’s leading children’s mental health charity Place2Be. She is one mountain away from completing the coveted 7 summits, climbing the highest mountain on each of the 7 continents.
As a former no saying, height hating, comfort lover, she turned her life around by saying YES a little more often. Standing on top of Everest in 2016 having survived the earthquake whilst at Camp 1 on the mountain in 2015, she did wonder how on earth she reached such dizzying heights, but Everest is just one chapter, not the whole story.
In 2004 Jo was a Business Advisor leading a very risk averse life when she took part in a bike challenge in Peru, cycling 500km for Asthma UK, which slowly changed her life. She now enjoys a richness of life she never thought possible, sharing her passion for the outdoors and creating extraordinary memories for her clients by pushing their perceived limits as well as continuing to push herself in her own personal challenges. As an Expedition Leader, Outdoor Instructor, Public Speaker and Leadership Development Coach, Jo teaches and assesses the expedition element of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award here in the UK and takes students and adults on adventures, mostly at high altitude, all over the world. She also combines her leadership experiences in challenging and extreme environments with her former business life to deliver impactful leadership programmes.
Pivotal to her shift from corporate suits to mountaineering boots was one friend who gave her a strong push in the right direction, becoming her first champion. 'We all knew you were capable; you just needed to quit the excuses and try'.
‘Say yes now and work it out later’ was her late Father’s mantra and she encourages others to embrace those words too.
Jo has an inspirational story to tell which connects with any client looking develop their teams or inspire their audience. Talks are tailored to each client’s interests and individual brief to gain the most out of Jo’s story and her time with you.

“Jo was a fantastic keynote speaker to close a day of conference for a large group of around 150 people. She brilliantly mixed humour, emotion and insight in a talk that kept the whole audience engaged and enthralled. Many of the audience said later that Jo was their highlight of the day. Thoroughly recommended!.”

Personal Assistant to Deputy Chief Constable Phil Cain
“An inspirational talk from an inspirational individual. Jo Bradshaw joined us for our Founders’ Day service on recommendation and we were absolutely thrilled by the outcome. What Jo has not achieved in her time is potentially not worth even thinking about! Selfless, determined, positive, adaptable and solution focussed Jo took on many a challenge to overcome her own fears and in support of those less fortunate than herself. The message was jaw dropping and such an appropriate message to the students who we empower to dream big and take every opportunity irrespective of where it may take them. She is an example to us all – I highly recommend her.”
Head, Burgess Hill Girls
