BIO

Kathryn Pinkham is the founder of The Insomnia Clinic, one of the UK’s only specialist insomnia services.  Having worked in the NHS as an insomnia consultant and consulted for major corporations such as JP Morgan, Mckinsey and Deloitte, Kathryn has seen first hand the effect of poor sleep on employees ability to do their best work.

Kathryn runs bespoke Workshops and the highly acclaimed on-line Sleep Well, live better course which has helped over 3000 people cure their insomnia or simply improve their sleep. The approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for insomnia (CBT-i), the recommended treatment for poor sleep, to help people to change and improve sleep patterns and manage anxiety around sleep.

More than a third of adults suffer with poor sleep since the pandemic and this number is set to rise with the current cost of living crisis causing increased stress and anxiety.

Poor sleep will be seriously impacting your business:

  • Sleep deprived employees generate twice as many days off as rested employees, resulting in absenteeism

  • Employees with poor sleep function poorly at work with reduced productivity

  • Increased staff sickness with the UK losing 200,000 working days due to sickness caused by poor sleep

  • Poor staff motivation, with over 66% of employees reporting difficulty with motivation after a poor night sleep

What’s more, with conscientious people more likely to be affected by poor sleep, your most valued employees are likely to be the ones suffering the most.

The good news is that poor sleep is a treatable condition.

I started The Insomnia Clinic after working in mental health and seeing how many people are affected by poor sleep. The condition is very curable, however long or how severely a person suffers. Our mission statement is to get the UK sleeping better without the use of medication through our online treatment training programmes and our team of sleep specialists across the UK.”
