Olly Pemberton
SPEAKER, AWARD-WINNING DIRECTOR AND FILMMAKER
Speaking Topics:
The Beating Heart of Wildlife & Expedition Film
Olly takes the audience on an immersive behind the scenes experience of what it takes to capture stories from the wildest corners of our planet. From crossing the Okavango Delta in traditional canoes, tracking little known river systems in the Peruvian Amazon to searching for the elusive Snow Leopard in the Himalayas.
Whilst these shoots themselves require a huge level of undertaking, none of it would be possible without the skills and knowledge of the incredible individuals who live and operate in these locations. Olly shares their stories, as these individuals are – in his opinion, the beating heart of any wildlife/expedition film.
Humans of the Wild
Our relationship with the wild can be a complicated one…
There are however parts of our planet where humans and wildlife strive to live side by side narrowing the disconnect that grows between us.
Olly shares stories, accompanied with immersive videos and soundscapes, from across the globe that try to change this narrative.
From people who live alongside wild and dangerous neighbours in Southern Africa; an individual’s lifelong calling to change the way we see Wolves, to an organisation’s ambitious mission to protect Kenya’s last remaining Super Tusker elephants.
