Bio

An experienced conference host and presenter (virtual and face to face), Marcella Whittingdale regularly presents a number of large live events including The Sussex Business Awards and The Brighton and Hove Business Awards.  During Marcella’s career as a TV / radio reporter and presenter, she has covered many diverse stories ranging from political to the light-hearted.

Whether reporting live from Afghanistan or bagging a big name celebrity exclusive Marcella’s career is consistently exciting and varied.

As well as working for some of Britain’s biggest broadcasters on TV as a studio presenter (BBC, GMTV, ITV) Marcella is also an experienced radio presenter, equally at home taking the helm of a four hour radio show.

With the ability to turn her hand to any story, Marcella’s skillset means she has been picked to cover everything from current affairs and politics to entertainment. During her time at GMTV she built up a fantastic catalogue of entertainment reports and features from backstage tantrums courtesy of fashion A-lister Kate Moss to special interviews with the likes of Miley Cyrus, Lilly Allen and Bette Midler. 

Currently working for The BBC Politics Show in the south east as well as presenting the news for BBC South East Today she has also presented for GMTV and ITV Meridian. 

With a passion for Classics and Ancient History (she did an MA in Classics at Edinburgh University) Marcella has travelled extensively throughout Greece and Italy visiting a number of historical and archaeological sites both on and off the beaten track.
